Its origin, according to the majority of the
experts zoologists is in the crossing of three
different species, the European wild boar, the
Mediterranean wild boar and the Asian wild boar,
who during centuries gave rise to the current
Iberian pig, through the various crossings carried
out according to men’s needs.
Its nourishment, its morphological ecosystem
and its characteristics are very different from
those of the common pig or white pig, and so are
in consequence the products which are obtained
from it.
